Some folks stumble on our website randomly, others come by referral
from a friend. They...YOU! come from a variety of paths. Maybe you've
come from one of these directions:
Teacher—Nice to meet you! Be sure to check out the training
programs available. One of our first team members was a college
professor for 20 years. If you’re detail-minded, some of the research
efforts we are making might be up your alley. Love to talk with you
more about questions or comments you may have!
Businessperson—Thanks for stopping by! Your training and
experience give us a lot of common ground. If you have an
administrative bent, we would love to talk about ways the ministry can
improve. Our web-based research tool called The Harvest Project might
reflect some of the concepts you’ve dealt with for years. Please let us
hear from you!
Missionary—Glad you came by! Our first team missionaries, Bob
and Lyn Rasmussen, were missionaries in Kenya during the 1990s, so we
have something in common already. As you browse the website, we hope
you recognize our attempts to wrestle with issues of contextualization
in the US, as well as our burden to reach immigrant peoples in
ethnically diverse America. If you’re looking to stay in the missions
groove while here in the States, we would be privileged to link up with
you.
I.T.—Great having you (if only to our home page so far!) We are
doing what we reasonably can to use the technological tools available
today to advance the cause of Christ. It is hard (and expensive) to
keep up, but we are thankful for the tools we have, realizing the need
for constant improvement. We would value your input as you look over
our ministries. Drop us an email when you can.
Intercessor—Your visit to our website means a lot to us (even
though we haven’t met you yet!) We are keenly aware that prayer must
characterize our ministry, not only because it is a form of obedience,
but because it advances the work of God. Prayer is not a prelude or
benediction to ministry; prayer is ministry! We would be honored if God
called you to intercede on behalf of our work and, more importantly,
for His Church thoughout North America. Let us know if you’d like to
receive prayer updates by email.
Trainer—Glad to meet you! Has God given you effectiveness in
equipping others to perform a particular skill? Training is core to
what we do, because we desire to pass on more than theoretical
knowledge, but life skills that last a lifetime. Areas of current
training/coaching are vision renewal, church planting, regional
research, and ethnic ministries. Let us hear from you sometime, OK?
Church Planter—A privilege having you visit us! Since our vision
statement is "vibrant, multiplying churches transforming America," you
know we believe in church planting. It may seem to some that there are
plenty of churches in the US, but we believe otherwise. People are
avoiding the church in droves, and we believe strategically located and
well-targeted churches are the need of the hour. Please let us hear
from you, and be sure to check out The Harvest Project.
Seminarian—How are the studies going? Many of us attended
seminary so we can identify with the fuzzy feeling between the ears,
especially at exam time. If you are one of those few students who have
a heart for BOTH the pastorate and missions, we should probably talk.
Our ministry reaches beyond one local church or denomination, and we’re
delighted to meet folks who love the church but also care about the
whole body of Christ. Drop us a line!
Organizer—Thanks for your visit! It is amazing how much our
ministry ends up being basic organization (of data, events,
communications, projects, schedules, people, etc.). And the need for
organized people seems endless. No matter what you organize—what do you
organize anyway?—there is surely something on this website that
triggers your thought processes. When something does, send us an email!
Pastor—It’s a privilege having you stop in! Our heart is for
pastors (and many of us used to be in the pastorate as well). I hope
you’ll find something to encourage you in these pages. If not, drop us
an email and let us know how we can pray for you and your ministry. If
you have a heart for the broader, interdenominational, world, we are of
like mind with you. Please let us hear from you!
Church Leader—Welcome to our site! We are so appreciative for
key leaders in churches who do so much to advance the ministry. Thank
you for all you do. Many of our ministries come to a church though a
concerned member or leader who hears about them and shares them with
the pastor. Please snoop around these pages and see if anything
scratches where your church is itching, and let us know!
Denominational Leader—Greetings and welcome! Thanks for taking
time out of your busy day to visit us. As an overseer of several
churches, you know the value resources that work. We are called to work
interdenominationally, and don’t need our "brand" on everything we do.
If we can turn a ministry tool loose, under your direction, we consider
it a way to expand Jesus’ kingdom. If some of our ministries catch your
eye, please drop us a note!
Retiree—Thanks for your visit us today! It is a wonderful trend
to see people wanting to invest their "retirement years" in a pursuit
with eternal value, while also enjoying time with grandkids. We honor
this desire, and believe that retirees have a lot to give and need to
give as well. This can be done either on a volunteer basis or by
raising some support to join our team. We hope to hear from you!
