After serving with OC International in Asia and the home office leadership team for 27 years, Jim and Lyn Montgomery left in 1985 to form Discipling a Whole Nation (DAWN) Ministries. They are now returning to the OC family to, by God’s grace, fan the flames of the Great Commission to leaders all over the world

As OC field director in the Philippines in the 1970s, Montgomery developed the DAWN strategy which has been implemented in scores of nations in Asia, Africa, Latin America and many Western countries. In the process, millions have come to the Lord and hundreds of thousands of churches planted.

Jim’s writing ministry on the theme of completing the Great Commission in our time is well known to Church and mission leaders everywhere.

For nine years Montgomery served as editor for Dr. Donald McGavran’s Global Church Growth Bulletin, a publication that changed the paradigm of missionary thinking and action in the second half of the 20^th century. Since then, Montgomery has written eight books on evangelism and the Great Commission. His landmark book, DAWN 2000, 7 MILLION CHURCHES TO GO, has been used of the Lord to surface saturation church planting as a primary strategy for completing the Great Commission in our time.

Over the past 20 years, Montgomery has edited and written the “DAWN REPORT” magazine that has gone quarterly to 6,000 leaders in over 125 nations.
