In early April, Tine Hardeman, an OC worker and Faith Academy legend, left the Philippines on to his next adventure – spending time with family in California. Although this may be a regular occurrence for many 87 year olds, Tine leaves a 62-year legacy of service at Faith Academy – the longest in the school’s history.

Before his departure, the Faith Academy community sent him off in a final despidida (farewell) in early April. Check out this short video of the celebration:
Tine and his wife Jan, who passed on to glory in January 2019, impacted their co-workers, thousands of students, and Filipinos in their 62 years. When able, they attended every game inside the gym, which is named after Tine. Two chairs situated at center court were their designated spot, where they cheered on countless athletes. A jersey will be retired in Tine’s honor in Hardeman Gym, so when everyone can remember a man who gave 62 years of service to the Lord and to Faith Academy.
