We work to provide the global church with the resources they need to spread the gospel. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Partnering with the global church to plant and grow churches, provide continuing education, create community through sports, and develop and mentor future leaders allows the spread of the gospel in a more effective way.
We invest in people and opportunities that enable churches to be planted, thrive, grow, and multiply. When invited by local leaders, OC conducts training for church planters and those interested in learning about disciple making movements.
We are committed to the equipping of leaders, inside and outside the church, with kingdom principles allowing them to move entire people groups toward transformation, hope, and justice.
Since 1952, Sports Ambassadors has been sending teams to more than 67 countries and sharing the gospel to more than 11 million spectators. One Challenge uses sports as a vehicle to create opportunities for sharing the gospel, planting churches, helping churches engage their communities, and developing disciple-making networks.
One Challenge seeks to educate on all levels in order to equip the next generation of leaders. From English as a second language, to bringing biblical curriculum to university and seminary students in remote places, we help students learn what it means to live a life aligned with God’s purposes in the world.
One Challenge uses sports in multiple formats to share the love of Jesus. We see sports as a tool for outreach, and we help churches and leaders develop their own sports programs. In addition to training and development, OC Sports Ambassadors facilitates short-term teams, using games and clinics as tools for evangelism and connection with local churches.
Any sport can be effective in ministry, and when working with church leaders, they choose which sports are most effective in their context. In short-term teams, we will use any sport, but primarily basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
