Growth isn’t an easy process. Often it comes out of necessity and uncertainty. Over the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, all of us have been thrust into uncertainty. This presented us with a choice – pause and wait or pivot and grow.
Conference Postponed and Then Virtual
As COVID began as a murmur of concern, One Challenge leadership was planning a worldwide leadership conference for the spring of 2020. As it became clear COVID wasn’t going away, OC made the decision to postpone.
Although not an ideal situation, OC leadership and workers alike took on the opportunity to grow. In 2021, leaders participated in a completely virtual learning conference. We listened to the Lord and learned how to grow in a VUCA environment (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity). By working to learn and understand, OC strived for VUCA Prime – Vision, Understanding, Clarity, and Agility.

In-Person Leadership Conference in 2022!
This month, OC leaders are coming together in person for the first time since 2015. The goal – to seek the Lord for his guidance regarding OC’s future. We will be listening to the Lord to:
- Find our bearings – what is our post-COVID situation today?
- Discern our destination – where does God want OC to be in five years?
- Set our direction – how will God get us from here to there?
OC is excited for this time to grow together. It may not be easy. It may not be without uncertainty and complexity. But we trust the Lord will guide us with a steady and loving hand.
